As a foundational therapy, we offer adjustments to help your spine in a couple of ways: increase the mobility of your joints and decrease strain on your ligaments and nerves. Traditional chiropractic adjustments offer great potential to alleviate pain and promote healing, and there are very few adverse effects.
The following therapies are based on research which will be specifically tailored to your needs and condition. Your treatment program will depend on how acute or chronic your pain is, how severe your pain is, what type of injury you sustained, what treatments you can tolerate, and what will give us the best results. Further, your program can be adapted to how you respond to the initial series of treatments to promote the best recovery possible.
Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique can be used for a number of ailments and injuries. It is a massage technique that helps issues with soft tissue like muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. We often apply Active Release Technique on patients with headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow, among other issues. Active Release Technique offers the potential for quick and permanent recovery.
This therapy also combines diagnosis and treatment in a single technique and works well for patients with back, neck, and extremity problems. It applies repetitive movement to aid in healing and ease of symptoms by focusing between your vertebrae. If you have difficulty with the movements on your own (due to your injury or trauma, or for other reasons of limited mobility), the McKenzie Method offers its signature REPEX machine to do the movements for you.
Like Active Release Technique, this therapy works very well on soft tissue. It combines a diagnostic element along with the treatment itself. Aided with the Graston Technique’s patented instrumentation, we locate the area of your body that is damaged (like with scar tissue or inflammation) and work on the affected part (i.e., we break down the scar tissue). The goal is to ease your pain, increase your mobility, and improve the function of the affected area.
This therapy is a great option for rehabilitation, especially following injuries (like from sports). It is the preferred technique for taping and uses a special, patented tape to treat conditions related to neuromuscular ailments.
What Our Patients Say
"I was apprehensive at first, but I was very desperate. I attended a boot camp class that left me in excruciating pain. The pain was predominately in my lower back...As a result of the treatments, I got my value of life back."
"In just four visits I was feeling a lot better, the pain level went from a 8-9 to a 2-3. I am able to get away from prescription pain meds and enjoy doing things with my kids...my neurosurgeon game me Dr. Pak's information, he came highly recommended. I figured if my neurosurgeon is recommending a chiropractor then I should go. I'm sorry I waited this long and Dr Pak has my vote."
After our initial examination and assessment, we will apply our expertise in developing the ideal treatment for you. We want to find out what’s causing the pain, treat it, and work to prevent the pain from coming back.
